By making a donation to the UCLA Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology you are helping kids at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA fight cancer. The hat you will receive will be signed by one of these young patients.
The Division of Pediatric Hematology & Oncology at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA is a pioneer in the treatment of childhood cancers and part of the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, dedicated to finding new and innovative ways of treating children with leukemia, aplastic anemia, solid tumors, blood diseases, and various genetic disorders.
It has a long history of success in bringing hope to patients with programs such as the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, which has been in continuous operation since 1973, the oldest unit in California, and one of the first in the nation. They are finding new ways to improve survival rates and decrease complications in children undergoing bone marrow transplantation.
With the support of their multidisciplinary team, including Child Life/Child Development Services and social work, their efforts continue to improve significantly the quality of life and quality of care for children with cancer and blood disorders.
